Overview

Carcavelos is a popular beach on the Cascais railway line, 20 min from Lisbon. Wide sandy beach facing south, which means the NW Nortada comes more side-offshore. Good for windsurf and kite when conditions align, but less reliable than Guincho. Busy urban beach in summer. Sandy bottom, small waves. Easy access by train from Lisbon. All amenities — restaurants, bars, surf schools.
