Overview

Alcochete is on the south bank of the Tagus river estuary, east of Lisbon. Flat water spot on the river — shallow, protected from ocean swell. Works with N-NW winds crossing the estuary. More of a local spot for Lisbon area kiters wanting flat conditions. The Samouco salt flats nearby are a nature reserve with flamingos.
