Cadzand-Bad is a North Sea kitesurf spot on the southwest coast of Zeeland, near the Belgian border — the most southwestern spot on the Dutch coast. Known for good waves with SW/W/NW wind. Wide sandy beach with clear water. Main launch in front of the 'De Zeemeuw' beach pavilion.
⚠️ Concrete groynes (golfbrekers) throughout the beach — hard and extremely sharp (mussel beds on them). Good kite control and upwind riding essential. NKV designated zone — stay within marked boundaries. Large tidal range. The Zwin nature reserve is immediately to the west — strictly protected area. Winter offers the largest waves and strongest wind — bring 5/4mm wetsuit + gloves + boots.
NKV designated zone. Known as one of the best wave spots in Zeeland. Close to Belgian border — easy day trip from Bruges or Ghent. Village amenities: restaurants, shops.

North Sea — waves depending on swell and wind direction (medium waves SW/W, larger in storms). Choppy to wavy. Clear, slightly shallower water than further north. Large tidal range (up to 4m). Strong currents at certain tides. Cold: 3/2mm minimum summer, 5/4mm + gloves + boots winter.

SW/W/NW/N onshore. N most stable and non-gusty. Very close to Belgian border — wind patterns similar to Belgian North Sea coast. No significant wind shadows. Clear fetch from the Atlantic. Good wave conditions in SW/W. Strongest wind October–March.
