Overview

Knokke-Heist is the main kitesurf spot at Knokke-Heist (West Flanders), Belgium's most upscale seaside resort near the Dutch border. Wide sandy beach with SW/WSW/W/WNW/NW onshore winds. Multiple kite schools and clubs operate here including RBSC, Anemos and Surfers Paradise.

Offshore wind (E/SE) forbidden. Large tidal range. Busy beach in summer. The Zwin nature reserve is east of Knokke — respect protected zones near the Dutch border. Belgium's premier kite destination with good infrastructure.
