Overview

Malvín is Montevideo's most popular kitesurfing spot, located in the city's southeastern neighborhood on Rambla O'Higgins. The bay-shaped beach offers relatively calm waters, making it the best place to learn kitesurfing in Montevideo.

Prevailing winds come from the south and southeast, with regular conditions from December to March. The "Sudestada" winds bring the best sessions with 15-25 knots. The water offers light chop in the bay.

The spot suits both beginners and advanced riders. Easy access from Montevideo city center. Urban infrastructure offers restaurants and transport nearby.
