Kitesurf spot in Baie de Valois, on the north shore of Lac Saint-Louis, in the Pointe-Claire borough of Montreal. The bay offers semi-protected water with an ideal southern exposure for prevailing summer winds. It's one of the most popular spots in Montreal's West Island, easily accessible by public transit. The water is relatively shallow in the bay, becoming more open toward the lake.

Very busy area with boaters and swimmers. Shallow areas and submerged rocks in some bay zones. Violent summer thunderstorms possible. Commercial shipping on the nearby river channel. St. Lawrence River current noticeable at the lake edge.
