Overview

Heist is a kitesurf spot at Heist-aan-Zee (West Flanders), the westernmost village of the Knokke-Heist municipality. Sandy beach catching SW/WSW/W/WNW/NW onshore winds. Located between Zeebrugge port and the Knokke area, just east of the port's influence zone.

Offshore wind (E/SE) forbidden on the entire Belgian coast. Large tidal range. Quieter than the main Knokke beach further east. The proximity to Zeebrugge port may affect wind quality from western directions. A local spot for the Heist community.
