Overview

Cape Croker Lighthouse sits on the Bruce Peninsula's northeast tip, on the territory of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation (Neyaashiinigmiing Reserve). The lighthouse marks the entrance to Georgian Bay. Exposed spot with spectacular views.

First Nation territory — authorization and respect of local rules mandatory. Limited access. Wild and powerful spot for experienced riders. East and northeast winds offer best conditions.

On the water

Georgian Bay facing east and northeast. Crystal-clear freshwater. Limestone rocky bottom — the Bruce Peninsula cliffs plunge into the water. Variable depth, sometimes steep drop-offs. Cold water (14-18°C). Sustained to strong chop.

Hazards

First Nation territory — obtain authorization before riding. Dangerous cliffs and rocky bottom. Cold water — full wetsuit mandatory. Currents around the cape. Isolated spot with no rescue services. Self-sufficient riders only.
