Altitude 2,492m — altitude sickness and dehydration. Ice-cold water — thick wetsuit mandatory. Violent afternoon thunderstorms with lightning from June to August. Black bears in the area. Very intense UV. In winter: avalanches, hypothermia, unstable ice.
