Dorigny is the EPFL nautical base, located on the northern shore of Lake Geneva just west of Lausanne, in the canton of Vaud. The spot is primarily dedicated to sailing and windsurfing. Kitesurfing is not practised here. The favourable wind is the south-westerly depression wind, which tends to blow stronger at nearby St-Sulpice. The Bise (north-east) is offshore at this spot and very turbulent — it is not sailable here. There are no particular access restrictions.
