Tsahkajärvi is a snowkite spot located in Finnish Lapland at 560 m altitude, near Kilpisjärvi. This frozen mountain lake offers exceptional conditions for landkite in winter with vast expanses of snow and ice. Winds are variable but often strong on this exposed plateau. Extreme arctic conditions reserved for experts: intense cold, possible whiteout, isolation. Season from December to April. Spectacular tundra landscape.
