Spiaggia del Morto is a kitesurf spot on La Maddalena island, in the heart of the Maddalena Archipelago national park. Located on the northern tip of the island facing the Bocche di Bonifacio strait, it receives the full force of the Maestrale channelled between Sardinia and Corsica. The wild and remote setting with spectacular pink granite rocks and turquoise water is among the most dramatic in the Mediterranean. Access by ferry from Palau, then on foot or bicycle from La Maddalena town.

National park zone — strictly respect navigation restrictions. Rocky shores all around — no easy water entry. Ferry and tourist boat traffic in the La Maddalena channel. Strong Maestrale with gusts. Experienced riders only.
