Spiaggia Grande di Calasetta is the main beach of Calasetta, a picturesque village on the northern tip of Sant'Antioco island, facing the island of San Pietro. The beach benefits from the Maestrale (northwest) and Libeccio (west-southwest), which blow with good strength along this exposed southwestern coastline. The view across the channel to the San Pietro island and the colourful Calasetta village make this one of the most characterful kite spots in the Sulcis area.

Boat traffic from the Calasetta ferry to Carloforte (San Pietro island). Wind can be strong and gusty with Maestrale and Libeccio. Rocky sections at the ends of the beach. Respect the ferry channel.
