Andijk is a flat-water kitesurf spot on the IJsselmeer (former Zuiderzee), in Noord-Holland's northern Westfriesland polder region. One of the few kite spots that works well with easterly winds — rare on the Dutch coast. Shallow water, flat conditions — ideal for beginners and freestylers. Navigate to Oosterdijk 8, Medemblik. Free parking.
NKV zone — April 1 to October 1. ⚠️ Shells on the bottom with E wind — shoes recommended for beginners. Small launch area. Forest/nature reserve right next to the spot. Can get very crowded in summer. Thermal winds (NE) possible in summer — often not shown in forecasts. Harderwijk 30 min away (daytrip option).
Flat to choppy IJsselmeer water. Shallow throughout — can stand in most areas. Ideal for freestyle, foil, and learning. No waves or swell. Consistent flat water.
