Port Stanley is a picturesque small harbour town on the north shore of Lake Erie, south of London. The spot faces south with a marina and two long sandy beaches on each side of the pier. Historic beach resort with the famous "Port Stanley Terminal Rail." Good exposure to dominant SW summer winds.

Lake Erie fresh water. Flat to choppy. Sandy bottom. Good fetch from the south across the lake. Warm water in summer (22-26°C). Progressive depth. The two beaches offer different conditions depending on wind direction.
Port jetties — fixed obstacles, currents at the entrance. Busy swimming zone. Recreational boat traffic. Lake Erie can become rough quickly. Sudden thunderstorms.
