Zarautz is the longest beach in the Basque Country — a famous surf town between Getaria and San Sebastián. Consistent NW-W swells, sandy bottom, beach breaks. NE summer thermal cross-onshore. Hosts international surf competitions. Lively town with excellent pintxos bars. Crowded in summer — kite space can be limited. Intermediate to advanced.
