Spot just west of Hastings town. Parking nearby and pebble beach with enough space to launch, especially at low tide. Metal barrier at the top of the beach along the coastal footpath to attach and launch/land alone, as well as wooden posts forming numerous wave breakers perpendicular to the beach. Water quickly gets deep especially at high tide, but kilometers of beach length to exit if needed and with very few people even in mid-summer. Compared to other spots further east and requiring longer drives like Camber Sands (45') or Greatstone (1h), besides the proximity to Hastings (5') and parking, the tidal variation remains more moderate, which avoids seeing the water recede over long distances at low tide as in the aforementioned spots. Some local kitesurfers use the spot regularly and are pleasant to interact with.
