Majanicho is a must-visit wave spot on the northwest coast of Fuerteventura, working for most of the year. Located near a small, authentic fishing village, it offers right-hand waves that are often well-shaped and consistent.
The waves at Majanicho are frequently straight, making them very surfable. The best wind direction is easterly to northeast — the prevailing trade wind creates clean side-offshore conditions that groom the wave faces.
This is a spot for intermediate to advanced wave riders. The setting is wild and beautiful, with a rugged volcanic coastline and crystal-clear water.
Right-hand waves breaking along the reef. Directional board essential. Enter from sandy patches between rocks.
Good waves with NW swell or locally generated wind swell from strong NE trades. Consistent spot that works more days than most wave spots on the island.
Waves 0.5–2.5m+ over reef. Water 18–23°C. 3/2mm wetsuit and reef boots essential.
